Tasty Shortbread

This week the after school cookery club baked the tasty treat—shortbread. Using flour, caster sugar, and butter, everyone had a go at kneading the ingredients into a smooth dough. The shortbread was placed on trays and baked to golden perfection in the oven. We used star cutters to create fun shapes and sprinkled sugar on top for an extra crunch. It was a deliciously rewarding way to learn fun baking skills!
