Dear families,
St Patrick’s Day is on Friday 17th March . We celebrate the arrival of Christianity on the island and all things Irish. School will be closed.
Enjoy your family celebrations that day . Mass to celebrate our Patron Saint is at 11am in the Cathedral, when Shamrock will be blessed .
There is a Community Parade through the town starting at 2.30pm .
On Thursday we will celebrate in school. Please wear green ☘️💚. ( no charge) P2 will lead a Class assembly at 9.30 am - P2 parents are invited. This will be followed by a fun St Patrick’s Day concert in which every class participates. Donna Mc Kinney , out traditional music tutor will provide some music and we hope to have some dancers too .
In the Windmill Restaurant we will have some St Patrick’s Day treats on the menu so you may want dinner that day 😀
Please note that ALL pupils will go home at 2pm on Thursday.
That afternoon there is a free festival / concert for families in the Shambles Yard starting at 5.30pm- open till 8.30pm .
