Covid Guidelines September 2022
The PHA has updated its advice on Covid-19.
Children with a positive test result will be advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 3 days after the day of the test, or from the day symptoms started. Children can return to school after 3 days if they feel well and do not have a high temperature.
As a precautionary measure those who test positive should avoid contact with individuals who are at ‘higher risk’ from COVID for ten days.
This includes:
-
Those individuals with a weakened immune system.
-
Those in care homes, hospitals and other health and social care settings.

The school continues to have a wide range of mitigations in place to help stop the spread of Covid-19. These include:
- Hand sanitising stations around the school.
- Staggered standing for parents at collection times.
- Reminders of hand washing when visiting the toilets.
- Good levels of ventilation around the school.
- Deep cleaning of the entire school each evening.
This is an ever evolving situation and we endeavour to keep parents informed of further updates. We appreciate your support.
